The firm Lione & Lee, P.C. was established in February 1992. Lione & Lee, P.C. is the successor of the firm Lione & Monroe, P.C. originally established in June, 1985. A General practice firm, Lione & Lee, P.C., represents clients in all aspects of real estate including both residential and commercial real estate brokerage, homeowner association matters, land development, home building, mechanic’s liens, assessment liens, contract disputes, deed restrictions and other aspects of real estate property ownership. 


John G. Lione, Jr., the original founding partner, previously worked as an in-house counsel for a national real estate brokerage company. Mr. Lione obtained his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and his law degree in 1974 from the University of Texas. Since December, 1984, he has been certified in commercial real estate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Steven L. Lee, became a principal in the predecessor firm of Lione & Lee, P.C., in July, 1991, and has been a shareholder in Lione & Lee, P.C. since its inception. He was previously employed by the Office of the General Counsel of the State Bar of Texas, where he tried attorney discipline cases. Mr. Lee obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas at Denton, and his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1980. Mr. Lee has not been board certified in any area as a substantial portion of his practice involves legal ethics, an area of law for which there is no available certification.

Carol Prewitt, Office Administrator and Closing Coordinator, has been with Lione & Lee, P.C. since 1986. Carol oversees the closing business and is available to assist in all phases of the closing process. Prior to her affiliation with Lione & Lee, P.C., Carol worked for attorneys in the Texas Rio Grande Valley.
